Tragedy As FEDPOFFA Lecturer Slumps, Dies

The Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) was thrown into mourning over the death of a lecturer, identified as Mr. Ayatu Ikani Momoh, who slumped and died.
According to eye-witnesses, Ayatu was not sick before his demise, as he was attending an Igala Local Community meeting in Offa when the incident happened.
Confirming the incident, the Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocols of the institution, Olayinka Iroye in a statement on Sunday evening said the management was shocked to announce the sudden and untimely death of the lecturer.
He said the deceased, who was a senior technologist of the Department of Mass Communication, was also the coordinator of the institution printing press, died on Sunday.
According to him, “Ayatu will be buried in his hometown in Ofu Local government, Kogi state.”
Students of the institution who expressed shock about the incident, described the deceased as a humble and easy going lecturer who was dedicated to his duty.
