Security: PAPEF Sets To Handover Patrol Vehicles To Police In Osun
Determined to improve on the security of lives and property in Osun State, the Police and Personalities Forum (PAPEF) is set hand over 2 patrol vehicles to the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Police in order to aid its security operations.
According to the Director of Osun State command, Dr Tosin Odeyemi, he made it known that the donation of the patrol vehicles is to assist the police in keeping the state safe, saying that more donations are still coming. Dr Odeyemi said “security is the duty of all. Therefore, it is our collective responsibility to help the government as they cannot do it alone” – he said.
The 2 patrol vehicles were recently purchased by the forum at different divisions and area commands to assist the security agencies in the state to effectively discharge their duties to enhance the peace, security and development.
Dr Tosin Odeyemi told journalists that the 2 patrol vans would be inaugurated and handed over to the Nigerian Police on Wednesday 6th October at GMT Hotel and 14th of October, 2021 at Adebimpe Event Center, Osogbo the state capital. He added that the gesture of the forum is a demonstration of its commitment and determination to secure the people of Osun state and sustain the glory of the State being one of the most peaceful in the country.
The state director, Dr Odeyemi, stated that the vehicles will enable the Nigerian Police to work round the clock and patrol tirelessly in every nook and cranny of the state while doing their investigations and surveillance and well.
He advised the Nigerian Police to utilise the vehicles for the purposes for which they were purchased, urging them not to use the security tools to attend to their personal needs.
The Police and Personalities Forum (PAPEF) which kick-started in the year 2018, is a forum consisting of noble personalities with integrity in the society. The main vision of the forum is to help the Nigerian Police towards a smooth operation in community policing, while announcing publicly that the registration of membership is open at the moment,appealing to people of integrity to join the forum
