Osun: Egbedore PDP Passes Vote Of Confidence On Sunday Bisi, Ademola Adeleke

Critical Stakeholders in the Egbedore local government branch of the Peoples Democratic Party on Sunday 26th of December, 2021, converged and deliberated on matters bordering on development of the party in the local government and the the State at large.

The well attended, enlarged stakeholders meeting was conveyed at the instance of the Lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Representative Bamidele Salam , who incidentally hails from the local government.

The Lawmaker admonished leaders and members of the party in the local government to shun unnecessary distractions in the effort of the party at reclaiming Osun State for the good of all through a well entrenched and formidable candidate who the party luckily have in Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, a man with proven track records of electoral value the party can build on for desired victory.

Bamidele Salam also commended Hon Sunday Bisi led State Working Committee of the party for their revitalization efforts which have turned the party into a valuable platform not just for intending aspirants in the party but the expectant electorate in the state.

Highlights of resolutions reached at the meeting which held at the country home of the first Chairman of the party in the state, late Pa Olayiwola Ogunrinade are:

1. That the PDP in Egbedore Local Government affirms it total loyalty and support for
the State Chapter of the Party under the Chairmanship of Hon. Sunday Bisi and members of his working committee.

2. That the Egbedore PDP believes in the oneness of the party in Osun State and strongly condemns any attempt to stage manage the creation of an alternative leadership, faction or secretariat for the party at the state level.

3. That without prejudice to the right of any other person to aspire, the PDP in Egbedore Local Government affirms its earlier decision to fully support the candidature of the Gubernatorial candidate of the party in the 2018 election, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke as the man who has the capacity, pedigree, charisma and means to win the 2022 governorship election and return the PDP back to power in Osun State.

4. That the Egbedore Chapter of the PDP urges all delegates of the party across the state to shun all enticement of pecuniary or immediate gains but rather rally round Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke in the overall interest of the party and the suffering masses of Osun State.

5. That the Party in Egbedore Local Government welcomes hundreds of former leaders and members of the All Progressive Congress APC and SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY SDP who have recently decamped into our fold from all the 10 wards in the Local Government and assure them of equal opportunities in line with the standards of the PDP.

6. That the party resolves to intensify efforts at further mobilisation of new members ahead of the 2022 Governorship election

7. The meeting commends the Hon member representing the Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, for effective discharge of legislative functions and unparalleled constituency development in the last 2 years of his administration.

8. The meeting offered prayers for the victory of the PDP in all elections at the Federal, State and Local Government levels.

The meeting had in attendance several Leaders of the party in the local government including; former PDP South West Women Leader, Alhaja Atinuke Oyawoye, Chief Kolade Adeleke, Representative Bamidele Salam, Alhaji Amidu Olagoke, Prince Olakunle Ojo, Hon Akin Ajetumobi, Chief Mrs Wumi Otunla, Alh Jogunade Olanipekun, Dr Soji Akinpelu, Hon. Rotimi Ogunrinnade, Alh Mufutau Adio, Former councillors, supervisors and all elected party exco from the 10 wards in the Local Government.
