Oyetola commissions Abere Jummat Mosque,Charges Osun Residents On Covid-19 Protocols
Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Friday, commissioned the Abere Jummat Mosque, where civil servants who are Muslims and other Muslim faithful around the vicinity observe their Jummat prayer.
Oyetola congratulated the leadership of the Muslim community in Abere for the successful completion of the mosque project and enjoined them to always promote peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance in the State.
The governor used the occasion to further appeal to residents and citizens of Osun to continue to observe Covid-19 protocols, noting that he was impressed with the level of compliance in the mosque.
He also implored people of the State to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement of persons in and around the State, declaring that security is the concern of everyone and not that of the Government alone.
Oyetola was accompanied to the mosque by some top government functionaries including the Deputy Chief of Staff, Prince Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo, Commissioner for Finance, Bola Oyebamiji, Commissioner for Local Government and Chiectaincy Affairs, Adebayo Adeleke and that of Regional Integration and Special Duties, Olalekan Badmus among others.
