Just In: Kebbi Assembly Impeaches Speaker, Deputy
Kebbi Assembly has impeached Speaker Abdulmumeen Kamba and his Deputy Alhaji Muhammad Buhari-Aleiro.
They were impeached after 20 out of 24 members had a closed-door plenary session on Tuesday.
However, the chairman House Committee on Information and Culture, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur, announced the impeachment.
He said the Speaker was immediately replaced by Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Muhammad Abubakar- Lolo while the Deputy Speaker was replaced by Hon. Muhammad Usman.
Tukur, however, did not disclose the reason for the impeachment of Kamba and Buhari-Aleiro.
