Osun APC Preaches Love, Unity At Christmas

As Christians are preparing to join their counterparts around the world to celebrate and commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has urged Christians and people of other religion of faith to reflect deeply on the virtues of love, tolerance, Godliness, honesty, sacrifice, selflessness and peaceful co-existence which the Christmas symbolized

This was contained in a goodwill message to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, issued from party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy and signed by its Director, Barr Kunle Oyatomi and made available to Newsmen on Thursday in Osogbo the state capital.

The party called on the entire citizens of Osun, especially Christians to use the Christmas period for sober reflection on the message of peace, love, unity and salvation to mankind through the birth of Jesus Christ.

As we all understand that Christmas is a season to give and demonstrate love and generosity, Christians should not also forget as Jesus taught that “it is more blessed to give than to receive”, apart from sharing food, money and other materials, Christians as well as people of other religion of faith are implored to give their patriotism, loyalty, love, fidelity and selfless services for the unity and progress of the state of Osun and Nigeria at large.

Oyatomi lauded the support given to Gov. Oyetola’s administration in the state by the Christians and adherents of other religion of faith, enjoined Christians to be their brothers’ keepers, urging the special privileged citizens to extend their giving hands to the less privileged members of their various communities.

Oyatomi enjoined people of the state to pray for God’s abundant peace as the people of the state choose their leader next year through poll, urging them to shun hatred and divisiveness but to promote peace, love and unity for the betterment of the citizens of the state.

According to him, “as we all know that 2022 is a year of major decision-making in the state and it is pertinent for the people of state to vote for continuity of good governance with progressive achievements which Oyetola has successfully done and he’s still doing for the development of the state”.

“Let’s not relent in praying to God Almighty to bless the efforts of the Oyetola led administration which has been working tirelessly for the development of the state of Osun, on behalf of the party, APC. We wish all Christians as well as people of other religions of faith Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year in advance”, Oyatomi concluded.
