South West Agenda 2023 Self Sponsored Group, Sen Dayo Adeyeye Restates
A sociopolitical group, South West Agenda (SWAGA) has restated that the south west agenda 2023 is a voluntary organisation and self sponsored seeking for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to throw his hat into the contest of 2023 presidency under APC.
SWAGA,a group that comprises former senators and members of house of representatives and other notable grass roots politicians of South West origins.
The group in a new statement by the chairman of the group, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye said the emphasis became necessary to correct the negative impression being circulated in some quarters.
“We do not plan or have resources to lure any soul with money but to use every persuasive method to make our people which includes our monarchs to join us in appealing to the generality of every Yoruba sons and daughters on the need to pursue our agenda to have one of us as president of this country in unity, togetherness and with every sense of responsibility.”He said.
In his own words ,Sen Olugbenga Onaolapo Obadara condemned in strong terms all those insinuations flying accross social media alleging that people were aligning with the group only because money was exchanging hands.
“It is gighly insulting, irresponsible and degrading and contemptuous for any responsible person of Yoruba descent to allowed himself to be used and to speak poorly of our respected monarchs, I really wonder how we got to this level”.He queried.
