Popular Osun Radio Presenter, Sunday Alakinde Dies In Fatal Road Accident
A renowned radio presenter in Osun State, Sunday Alakinde, is dead.
He died early this morning in a ghastly road accident.
Alakinde until his death was a freelance broadcaster attached to Uniq 103.1FM, Ilesa.
According to FRSC Public Relations Officer, Agnes Ogungbemi, the accident occured around 3:05 am, in front of Rock Villa Hotel Opposite Old Sazo oil along Ilesa-Ife, Ilesa.
Ogungbemi in a statement made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo disclosed that involved a Luxury Buss with registration number LND 322 XY and PEUGEOT 406, with registration SMK 312 GQ belonging to the late presenter.
CityMirrorNews however, gathered that two persons out of 54 people died on the sport while one other sustained injuries.
The injured victim according has been taken to Wesley Hospital for medical treatment while the Corpse deposited at the same hospital Morgue.
The Chairman of Osun State Chapter Of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, FIBAN, Adekunle Abolade Dodoede, also confirmed the death of the member of the FIBAN
Alakinde was the National Organizing Secretary of FIBAN
