Photos: Osun NUJ Begins Press Week With Jumaat Service

Activities marking the Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council commenced today with a Special Jumat Service at the Civil Service central Mosque, Abere.
Led by the state chairman, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu the media practitioners trooped out in their large numbers to commit the 2021 press week activities in the hand of Almighty Allah.
Welcoming the journalists, the Chief Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Najeemdeen Isamotu prayed for the protection of media practitioners in the course of their duties
He said media practitioners were key in sustaining peaceful coexistence of the nation, hence the need for practitioners to always discharge their duties with fear of Allah.
The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters , Hon Adebayo Adeleke popularly called Banik joined the celebrating journalists at Civil Service central mosque, Abere and later host them at the NUJ press centre , Osogbo.
Speaking, the Chairman of Jumat Committee, Rafiu Hammed appreciated the Commissioner for hosting the Jumat service.
