Alakinde’s Death: Osun Assembly Chief Whip Commiserates With Media Family, Uniq FM
The Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Tunde Olatunji has described the sudden demise of ace broadcaster, Mr Sunday Alakinde in a tragic motor accident as great loss to the Osun media space and the listening public.
In a statement in Osogbo, Hon Olatunji commiserated with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, the Freelance Broadcaster Association of Nigeria,FIBAN, staff and management of Uniq FM Ilesa as well as the people of Gbongan in Ayedaade local government.
Hon Olatunji also stated that the death of the renowned broadcaster was not just a loss to the media, but a big one to millions of listener within and outside Osun state who eagerly awaited his Yoruba Newspaper’s review every morning.
“The death of Mr Alakinde has continued to be an unimaginable mystery, as he was still reportedly on air till over 10 o’clock on Sunday’s night. Waking up to hear of his demise is shocking”.
“He was articulate,eloquent and man of unique voice and iconic talent with which he dazzled millions of people during his life time”.
The Chief Whip therefore prayed God to grant his immediate family, people of Gbongan,the media family and his fans fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
