2022: Owoyokun Assures Osun Gov Of Ijesha People’s Votes

The Senior Special Assistant to Osun State Governor on Special Duties and Regional Integration, Hon Samson Owoyokun has said the state governor, Gboyega Oyetola will get an overwhelming support from Ijesa sons and daughters in the gubernatorial elections of 2022.

Owoyokun made this statement at the APC secretariat in Isokun of Ilesa West local government where he celebrated with elderly women to commemorate this year International Women’s and Mother’s Day respectively.

He however assured the people of the town that ongoing transformational and developmental agenda of Oyetola’s administration will not be truncated.

In his words, “nothing whatsoever is too much or big to celebrate our mothers for the significant roles they have and are playing in our lives, he equally lauded the contribution of Osun First Lady to the success of the event”.

The governor’s aide used the occasion to highlight the achievements of Oyetola in office since November 2018 and admonished all the women present to publicize the good works of the government so that Oyetola can be reelected for a second term in office so as to continue implementing the lofty ideas that will showcase Osun as a preferred destination in Agriculture, education, health, commerce, Ijesaland must reciprocate the good gestures of Mr. Governor in 2022 with our mouth watering votes for his reelection, he said.

Also speaking at the event, the commissioner for works, Engr. Remi Omowaiye appealed to APC members to remain unshaken in their resolve to support Gboyega Oyetola administration, he itemized all the policies of the government and his personal interventions to bring smiles to faces of people within and outside his local government, particular reference was made to the reconstruction of the burnt Atakumosa market embarked upon by Oyetola, that road reconstruction will soon start on the Ada – Ibokun – Idominasi road.

One hundred and sixty women went home with gift packaged by Samson Owoyokun, contained therein is cash, clothing material, foodstuff, KN95 nosemask.

Speaking on behalf of all the beneficiaries, Madam Bose Asagidigbi applauded Owoyokun for choosing to identify with women and prayed for God’s guidance for him and the governor.
