BREAKING: Imo: Police Detain Former Governor, Rochas Okorocha
The former Governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been reportedly detained by the police.
It was gathered that the Senator representing Orlu zone at the National Assembly was arrested today for allegedly breaking into the sealed spring palm apartments and hotels said to be owned by his wife, Nkechi Okorocha.
Reports had it that Okorocha stormed the estate at the early hours of Sunday with his thugs and broke open the gate.
It was further gathered that the Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo state on Special Duties, Chinasa Nwaneri alongside his Youths Affairs counterpart, Eric Uwakwe arrived at the scene and engaged the thugs in a fierce battle.
The former Governor’s security vehicles, according to reports were destroyed and his orderly gruesomely attacked and injured.
Efforts to reach the Imo police public relations office, Orlando proved abortive as his number refused to go as at the time of filing this report.
