The Ilerioluwa Campaign Organization has  inaugurated her Coordinators in all the 20 Wards of Osogbo Local Government to serve as representatives of the government at the grassroots in the state capital.

It will be recalled that over a year ago,  some youths  were commissioned to serve as Osogbo Ilerioluwa Wards Mobilizers and Canvassers and those who served diligently and stood out in that role were today inaugurated as substantive coordinators.

According to the initiator of the group, Hon. Olalekan Badmus, “This is to get set those minds that shares the same belief as my principal involved in the aspect of our political endeavors. Mr. Governor is a focused leader who enmeshes himself in ensuring better life for all and who also painstakingly steadfast to bring more democratic dividends to the populace. In a bid to achieve that, we have commissioned this set of energetic individuals to disseminate the good works of this administration to the doorsteps.

He added that, the government would continue to embark on more civil-oriented projects, while he noted that there was need to spread the gospel of the good work of Governor beyond the present pace hence the inauguration of the wards coordinators.

“It must also be added that the unity of the party is the job of everyone and all hands must be on deck to ensure that none is guilty of fanning the ember of discord in the party, while we must also seize every given opportunity to promote the good governance of Governor Oyetola in our bid to making State of Osun greater,” Badmus said.

Mr. Richard Tinubu, the Secretary-General of Ilerioluwa and Director-General of Bureau of Social Services, who also graced the inauguration, said that the substantive coordinators must remember that the party superceded every group.

He emphasized that the purpose of Ilerioluwa group was to promote the activities of the state government while warning against plots to antagonize the present administration.

According to Tinubu, “Has Mr. Governor not proved to us that he is uncommon? At least, if we were not convinced before his assumption of office that he is different, what he has achieved in this short period is enough for us to see his leadership quality.

“We must also know that this administration is not for gluttons. It is for those who are ready to sacrifice their own comfort for the people. If your plan is to build mansions on beaches, you can’t fit in into this administration.

“However, I want to say this, according to the constitution, the governors are statutory leaders of the party. It is the governor that suprintends the party and in spite of that, Mr. Governor has never marginalized the party in every major decisions and programmes he had embarked on. We must try to emulate this in our approach.

In equal breath, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke charged party faithfuls present to not allow infiltrators into the party, emphasizing that in-fighting among party members would be inimical to the success of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

“Rivalries are normal in political circles and it can only be interesting if we stand our ground as a unit and not as a divided army. What kills faster is when we are having enemies from within. It won’t help us at all,” he said.

The coordinator of all Ilerioluwa groups in Osogbo, Hon. Wale Popoola, while giving the vote of thanks, reassured party members of not derailing from the objectives of the group. He commended the efforts of those canvassers that made it to become substantive Coordinators today.

Other dignitaries present at the inauguration include, Chief Idowu Esuleke, The chairman, Osogbo Local Government, Hon. Saheed Onibonkuta, wards chairmen, women leaders in Osogbo among other party leaders.
