Eid-el-Kabir: Osun NAWOJ Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Unity
Osun Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has urged Muslims faithful to uphold the tenets of Allah in the spirit of unity.
This is as the association felicitates with Muslims in the state on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
This was made known in a release made by the State Chairperson Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo and the Secretary Comrade Abisola Ariwodola, that Allah loves peace and unity, hence walking in his part and obeying his commandments to love our neighbor as ourself, thereby living in peace and harmony.
The statement added that promoting peaceful co-existence with each other and people of other faiths, shunning violence and religious conflicts in whatever form have spiritual benefits.
According to the release, everyone in the state must come together to ensure that they work in unity by making the state safe for all, irrespective of class or strata, it added that religious intolerance must be disposed, uncaring security attitude and lack of unforgiveness must be nipped in the bud.
The release further stated that the will of God which Eid-el-kabir commemorates is for everyone to be together in unity, this will give way to growth which is pivotal to development needed by all. Let’s all support the government to ensure that the state continue to enjoy peace and progress, the statement added.
