Traditional Rulers, Other Yoruba Culture Promoters Storm Ife, As Akewi Nke Launchs Album Tomorrow
All is set for the launch of an album by Olufunmilayo Seyi popularly known as Baba Oyo Akewi Nke.
The album titled, ENA (Code Talking), is billed to be launched on Sunday, 20 June, 2021 at Onipoye Hall, adjacent Treasure Hotel Mayfair Ile-Ife, Osun State.
According Baba Oyo, in a statement he made available to CityMirrorNews, in Osogbo, the aim of the album was to harness, embrace and promote Yoruba cultural heritage for development.
Dignitaries expected to grace the event include the Chief Launcher, Oba Isoro Olaoluwa Omiwenu Odeyele (Owa Eredumi); Obaluru of Ife , Oba Abiodun Mulatto Oranfe; Obalaaye of Iraye, Oba Elugbemi Temitope Eludoja; Mr Mudashir Ishola Balogun AKA (MD) from South Africa; Prof.Sola Ajibade from the Department of Linguistics and Africa Languages, Obafemi Awolowo University.
Others are Yeye Asa, Dr.Mrs Adeola Faleye; Prof.Kayode Alao,Prof Gbemisola Adeoti, Dr Mrs Benard from the Department of Linguistics and Africa Languages, Obafemi Awolowo University; among others.
Olufunmilayo Seyi is an ambassador of Health Concern Global Consult in Osun State.
He was born in Ibadan, but base in Osun State.
Baba Oyo studied Yoruba language at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.
