One Feared Killed As Gunmen Invade Church, Abduct Three Worshippers
Some gunmen on Sunday morning attacked ECWA church by express road in Okedayo in Kabba and abducted three worshippers, killing one person in the process.
It was gathered that the gunmen fully armed with AK-47 rifles numbering five invaded the church at about 8am on Sunday shooting sporadically as they made their way into the church premises.
The source disclosed further that some worshipers took cover while others in an attempt to escape were kidnapped.
The gunmen also killed one worshiper who was on his way to the church for Sunday service in an attempt to elope.
“The gunshots left members confused, scamper for safety, with the gunmen killing one and taking away three.
The man that was killed was identified as the Deputy Chief Security Officer of a higher institution in the area.
Efforts to reach out to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Ayah proved difficult as he was said to be in the church.
Recall that few days ago, some gunmen invaded the Correctional service in Kabba where some security men were killed and some inmates also escaped during the attack.
