Osun: Oriade South LCDA Chairman, Ajimati, Urges Youths To Shun Violence, Hooliganism

The Caretaker Chairman of Oriade South Local Government Development Area (LCDA), Osun State, Hon Oladeji Ajimati, has urged Youths to shun violence and embrace peace for the development of the council and the state at large.
Ajimati , gave the charge while receiving the leadership of the youths in ward 7, Ikeji Arakaji, during their courtesy call to his office, on Wednesday.
The Chairman noted that he wanted youths in the area to embrace tolerance and peace in this period, saying they should always conduct themselves with dignity and shun violence , thuggery and hooliganism in all forms.
Ajimati who emphasized the commitment of the present administration under the leadership of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to Youth’s development said, he was ready to complement the effort of the Governor by making sure that youth oriented programmes are executed .
He noted that youths remained the focus of most of the state government’s development policies, saying that any attempt to cause violence would work against their interests.
“The future belongs to the youths who are at the centre of most developmental endeavours and policies of government; so, the diversion of youthful energy towards violence is not desirable at all.
“The future of this country belongs to the young ones. Youth should desist from allowing themselves to be used as political thugs. As a matter of fact, They should resist every attempt to take to violence.
“And I want to urged you to continue to support our amiable Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, who has been very personate about the development of the state and never deviated from implementing the policies that can bring youth development in the state.
Also speaking, Hon Sikiru Tijani, Secretary to the LCDA, appreciated the youths for deeming it necessary to visit their council.
Tijani corroborated the Chairman, enjoining the youths to shun all form of social vices because they are the future of the country.
