Osun Federated Chapel Of NUJ Expresses Sadness Over Folakemi Alonge’s Death
The Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalist, Osun state Chapter has said that the loss of Mrs Folake Alonge will create a huge vacuum in the Union and in her family.
Late Mrs Folake Alonge who until her demise was an ace broadcaster with Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) was very big spanner that has been lost in the world of Journalism and Unionism.
In a statement jointly signed by the Federated Chapel Chairman, Comrade Kikelomo Owoeye and Secretary, Mr Damilare Arowosafe , as an Ex- Officio, she was committed, loving, honest, bold, courageous and a wonderful person in the pen profession and all her dealings.
“We know that her passing will not only leave a void in our lives but in the hearts of her family and loved ones.
“She will always remain within our hearts and we have included Folakemi Alonge’s family and NUJ Osun Council in our daily prayers. May God give us Strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“As a chapel we are ready to contribute our quota in making the proposed Foundation in her memory a success.
We appreciate the Leadership of the State Council led by Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu for Immortalising Late Mrs Folake Alonge and declaring a 7-Day Mourning in respect of the deceased.
“We at the FEDERATED CHAPEL, believe that Heaven has received another Angel amongst the Saint today and the as the heavens rejoice, our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the family she left behind and the entire Journalists in the State.
