Late Adeleke Remains A Great Reference For All Progressive Elements–Omooba Babayemi
As today marked the 66th posthumous birthday of the first civilian governor of Osun state Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, a leading aspirant to the senate in Osun West Senatorial District during the last general election,Omooba Dotun Babayemi has described the political icon as an exemplary leader and a great reference for all progressive elements in the country.
In a birthday tribute issued in Gbongan,Osun state, Omooba Babayemi noted that the legacies left behind by the man fondly called Serubawon in the political scene would be difficult to forget especially his belief that public service is noble and necessary and the fact that one can serve with integrity and hold true to the important values of life.
He affirmed that there is no gainsaying the fact that the late political juggernaut led the way and light up the path for all of those who followed him.
According to him,his works were truly mesmerizing and he was an exemplary leader for future generations who wish to follow the world of politics.
He added that Adeleke’s indelible footprints on the sand of time would never be washed away in the area of giving back to the community in which he lived and beyond.
“His humanitarian services to people of his home town, Ede and anyone that crossed his part would forever be remembered.
Through his thoughtful leadership, great vision and sincerity, he had a positive impact on every aspect of the community and Osun State as a whole,he said”
Omooba Babayemi also acknowledged that Senator Adeleke who was his personal friend during his life time,was a true and loyal friend who honoured and nurtured friendship.
While noting that even in death he deserves the greatest respect for the lives he had touched and his contributions to the stability he brought to our democracy, Omooba Babayemi prayed that God will continue to grant Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
