—Says It’s Time To Elect New Set Of Reliable, Problem Solving Officers

Chairman of The Osun Progressives (TOP), Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi, has urged all delegates of the All Progressives Congress in the Saturday’s State Congress of the party to turn out en-masse to elect new officers for the APC in Osun State.

Speaking at the general meeting of the caucus, Adebiyi said the delegates owed themselves and the goodness of all, the duty to ensure a new set of reliable, responsible and problem solving officers are elected on Saturday.

He contended that it was the only way by which a new lease of life could be guaranteed for APC and ensures its success in future electoral outings.

According to him, it is only the election of new set of focused and result-oriented leaders to complement those they have elected at the ward and local levels that could take the APC back from the path of ineptitude it has been driven to in recent times.

He reminded the mammoth crowd of members who were at the Oranmiyan House venue of the meeting that the Osun Progressives was specially formed for that purpose and thus the need to ensure capable individuals are elected to manage the affairs of the APC and return it to the old path of glory.

Adebiyi said it is fundamental to have knowledgeable, disciplined, dispassionate persons with distinguished capacity to creatively manage human organisation at the helm of Osun APC affairs now.

The leader of TOP, who is the immediate past Chairman of APC, informed the meeting that the newly elected ward and local government officers will be sworn-in before the state congress holds on Saturday, thus urged all concerned to be present.

A minute silence was held for the deceased elected APC chairman of More/Ojaja ward in Ife East local government, Mr Makinde Olagunju who passed on two days ago with prayers held for the repose of his soul and the well being of those he left behind.
