You Have Earned Us A Huge Respect, Olowu Hails Aviation Minister Over Decision Against UAE Flights
A prominent traditional ruler in Osun state, the Olowu of Kuta Kingdom, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude Tegbosun III has hailed the decision of Federal Government limiting the frequency of United Arab Emirates flights into Nigeria.
The monarch lauded the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika for the action taken against the Emirates flight in tandem with the treatment meted out to, Nigeria’s largest carrier Air Peace by UAE Aviation Authorities.
The UAE operates 21 frequencies in Nigeria per week and refused to grant the Nigeria airline the permit to operate only three frequencies in UAE as the country that Nigeria can only operate one frequency into UAE per week.
Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude in his reaction said the Federal Government has taken the right decision and commended the Minister for the courage.
The monarch said “Your singular patriotic prompt action on Dubai issue is worthy of commendation and emulations by others in position of authority. The traditional ruler described Hadi Sirka as the “majiyagbe of Nigeria ” (someone safeguarding interest not Nigerians)
The traditional ruler also commended the Minister on the his move to reciprocate the travel ban on Nigeria by Canada, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Argentina Omicron COVID variant.
Commending the Minister, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude said “You have earned us a huge respect we truly deserve as a country. If others in position of authority can emulate you, Nigeria lost glory will be restored in no distant future. Hon minister of Aviation well done and my God continue to protect and direct your affairs”.
