Sallah: Osun Political Affairs Commissioner, Akeju Felicitates Muslims, Urges National Peace
Osun State Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relation, Hon Taiwo Akeju, has felicitated with Muslims Faithful in the State and across the world on the successful completion of the 1443AD Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-fitri festival.
Akeju in a Sallah message signed and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, on Thursday urged Muslim Humma to use the festive period to pray for peace and unity of Nigeria.
Speaking on the current spate of insecurity in some parts of the country, Akeju tasked Muslim Ummah to to pray fervently to Allah to restore peace on the land.
He, however, urged Muslims faithful to use the advantage of the spirituality of this period to offer special prayers for the whole world to overcome the challenges of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic disease.
According to him, “As we all know that this is a period of sober reflection, renewal of faith and expression of thanksgiving to the Almighty Allah for a successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, special privileged citizens in the society should endeavors to extend their kind gestures to the needy and less privileged people in the society”.
“Muslims and believers of other religions should redouble their praying efforts and use the advantage of the celebration to offer special prayers to curb the scourge of the coronavirus pandemic for the world to get over it.
“Muslim should also urge the Muslim faithful to use the festive period to pray fervently for Allah to restore peace on our land. The current security situation in some part of the country needs God’s intervention,” Akeju said
He urged the Muslims faithful to accept the situations of things this time around with good faith.
He called on the people of the State to continue their unfliching support and join hands with the people’s Governor Gboyega Oyetola administration, for everyone to have reason to be happy by seeing progressive developmental projects in all nooks and crannies of the state in no distant time.
