Osun Teacher’s Recruitment: Successful Applicants Begin To Receive Notifications

Successful applicants who applied for jobs in the teaching service in the recently conducted teacher’s recruitment exercise in Osun have begun to receive notification messages from the State’s Ministry of Education informing them of their appointments into the Osun teaching service.

The State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunso Oladoyin disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists.

Hon. Oladoyin commended the state Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for keeping to his promise of recruiting only the best teachers to teach in Osun public schools.

While also thanking the governor for his commitment to the recruitment exercise devoid of any interference from him, the Commissioner in the statement congratulated the newly recruited teachers for being found worthy and competent during the thoroughly carried out screening/recruitment exercises into the Osun teaching service.

He maintained that the governors resolve at ensuring that only the best and the most qualified made the final lists might not be unconnected with the commitment of Oyetola led administration at ensuring quality education for pupils and students in Osun public schools system.

The Commissioner added that the selection process which was done purely on merit has again demonstrated the Governor’s open and transparent style of governance .

Oladoyin in the statement stressed that the recruitment which is inclusive of both degree and NCE holders have been adjuged by renowned education stakeholders as very thorough and rigorous with a strong tendency of laying a solid background for Osun education sector in the foreseeable future.

The commissioner also recalled with delight the micro-teaching stage of the recruitment process,which he described as a clear departure from the past because of the need to recruit the best from the pool of thousands of applicants who showed interest .

He, however ,in the statement said that the newly recruited teachers will not be made to go straight to the classrooms but made to go through a comprehensive and intensive training exercises to prepare them mentally, emotionally and physically for the great tasks ahead.

He thanked and commended the successful teachers for their patience and understanding, describing it as one of the true qualities of a good teacher .
