Osun: Chairman LG Commission, Adedeji Charges Workers On Dedication To Duty
Workers in the State of Osun have been admonished to rededicate themselves in their respective duty posts towards achieving optimal productivity in generating revenue for the State.
The Chairman of the Local Government Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji gave the charge durng visitation to Ife South Local Government Area, Ifetedo, Ife South West Local Council Development Area,Garage Olode, and Ife Ooye Local Council Development Area, Ile Ife.
Elder Adedeji said that the visitation which was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic which broke out in 2020 becomes imperative in appreciating the support of the workers for the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, urging the workers to work assiduously in transforming the State to an enviable pedestal as well as reciprocating the good gesture demonstrated by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola through regular payment of salary and other emoluments.
The Chairman emphasised that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola remains committed towards promotion of good governance that guarantees dividends of democracy for all and sundry in the State.
He therefore implored the staff of the local government areas visited to work hard at improving the revenue of the State through transparency, honesty and commitment to duty.
The Coordinating Director of Local Government Service Commission, Prince Lekan Babalola harped on the need for the workers to be vaccinated and observe COVID-19 protocols as well as patronize Adire initiative of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in promoting the culture and generating revenue for the State.
The Chairmen of Ife South Local Government Area, Honourable Mufutau Adegbite, Ife South West Local Concil Development Area, Honourable Yinusa Adebisi and Mrs Omolayo Adepoju, the Council Manager of Ife Ooye Local Council Development Area, expressed confidence that workers would ensure continuation of good governance under the leadership of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
