Death Of OAU Student: Court Orders Police To Allow Oduduwa Varsity Founder Access Healthcare
The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to allow detained founder of Oduduwa University, Ile-Ife, Chief Ramon Adegoke Adedoyin access to quality medical facility of his choice.
Justice Inyang Ekwo gave the order in a ruling on a motion filed by Adedoyin through his lawyer, Kule Adegoke (SAN).After listening to Adegoke move the motion, Justice Ekwo issued an order directing the IGP to take to or allow the applicant to access quality medical facilities of his choice pending the conclusion of the investigation and possible arraignment or pending determination of the fundamental rights enforcement application filed for the applicant.
Adedoyin is said to be the owner of the Hilton Hotel, Ile Ife, Osun State, where a Masters student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Timothy Adegoke was allegedly murdered.
He has been in police custody since November 15.
