Cleric Attributes Nigeria’s Woes To Bad Leadership
By Musa adeniyi, Osogbo
The general overseer and the founder, Wise Men of Christ International, Archbishop Prophet Dr. John Ayotunde has attributed Nigeria’s socio-economic woes, especially insecurity to bad leadership.
Prophet Ayotunde said the only solution for the country’s economic problem and insecurity was for Nigerians to go back to God, saying Nigerian leaders have failed their followers.
Prophet Ayotunde made these known while fielding questions from members of the Osun NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel during a world press conference organised to mark the 10th anniversary of the church.
The Prophet said the current insecurity in the country was as a result of the inability of successive governments in the country to deliver on the promises made to the people.
According to the man of God, the current security situation in the country has become worrisome to everyone and the governments at various levels needed to take urgent steps to address it before it gets out of hands.
He further said that successive governments have failed to provide qualitative education, create employment opportunities for the youths, put meaningful economic measures in place and address the rising cost of living.
All these challenges, according to him, are the contributing factors to the current predicament in which the nation finds itself.
Prophet Ayotunde however called on parents and guardians to always take proper care of their children and wards and give them qualitative education so as to become good citizens in future.
He also urged religious leaders to continue to pray fervently for peace to continue to reign in the country.
The theme of the ten year anniversary is: “I can Do All Things in Christ Because He Had Given Me Power.
