ICHSOSA President, Prof Oyawoye Declares Vision, Mission, Objectives For Alma mata

The President of Old Students Association of Ilare Community High School (ICHSOSA), Professor Olubukola Oyawoye (nee Akinyemi) has declared her set objectives to reactivate the school to be one of the best in the country.

Prof Oyawoye in a release she personally signed listed “Career Talks and Mentorships for students of the school to guide them on their choice of subjects towards their prospective vocations in the competitive labour markets in the country, revival of the School’s Laboratory by stocking it with the state of the arts equipment, Perimeter Fencing of the school and Recruitment of Teachers” for certain subjects in the school as priorities.

Others include; “Provision of Chairs and Tables for about Three Hundred Students of the School, Upgrading of the School’s Library with modern test books and ICT gadgets and Establishment of Scholarships and Foundations for Students of the school.”

Prof Oyawoye who lamented the present educational stadarnd in the school also noted that “it is sacrosanct to appoint Regional Coordinators and Set Representatives to facilitate easy coordinations and holistic participation in the leadership of the association. This she stressed would foster unity and love among members of the Association.

In order to ensure that the visions and missions are brought to reality, the President stated that moral and financial supports of each member of the Association would be needed . She acknowledged the previous contributions of some members of the alumni , well wishers of the school and the outgone executive members, soliciting for their continous and unflinching supports.

In the light of this, she charged members of the Association to “kindly contribute a sum of One Thousand Naira (N1,000) only as annual dues to the purse of the Association, making a total sum of Twelve Thousand Naira (N12,000) only annually.” She also appealed to members for generous donations to implement the afore-mentioned capital projects for “the betterment of the Association and to rekindle the lights of glory in the School.”

She also enjoined members to indicate or nominate a coordinator for their year of graduation to enable the Executive to administer the Association effectively.
Professor Oyawoye disclosed that her executive members have resolved to make the Ilare Community High School a Center of Knowledge and Character Moulding.”

In a related development, Prof Oyawoye stressed that she considered it imperative for the school which she claimed had produced series of top-nutched personalities in various walks of life to have an ANTHEM. In view of this, she disclosed that she has composed an heart-trilling, motivational, inspiring, melodious and sonorous anthem for the school, which she said would be released in due course.
