2021: Osun LGSC Chairman, Adedeji Charges Council Managers To Lead By Example
Council Managers in the Local Government Service of the State of Osun have been admonished to be exemplary leaders to their subodinate officers this new year in order to improve productivity and for better service delivery.
The Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji gave this charge today while giving his remarks at the Annual Inter-Denominational Service organized to usher in the new year,held at the Commission’s Multipurpose Hall, State Secretariat.
Elder Adedeji,who commended all the staff of the local government councils for the ultimate cooperation given last year,advised them to double their efforts this year and shun lackadaisical attitude to duty.
He stressed the need for workers to be closer to God and to be truthful in discharging their duties adding that, “this will go a long way in promoting peace in their respective councils and the State in general.”
Speaking earlier the Coordinating Director in the Commission, Barr. Lekan Babalola said that “the inter-denominational service is necessary at this period to appreciate God and to commit the activities of the Commission into the hand of God in the fresh year.”
As part of the programe, special prayer was made for the growth and development of the state as well as the well-being of the Governor and his cabinet members.
Alhaji Musbaudeen Orimadegun and Prophetess Esther Akinloye representing Islamic and Christian faiths respectively led the prayer sessions.
The corporate prayer, which is an annual event was attended by Management staff of Local Government Service Commission, Loans and Pension Board Management staff, Council Managers and Forum Heads among others.
