Osun PDP Holds National Delegates Congress

The Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party holds National Delegates Congress across the 30 local governments of the State, today 5th of October,2021.

During the Congress, according to statement signed by Hon Ayodeji Areola,
State Publicity Secretary, and made available to CityMirrorNews, in Osogbo, Osun State capital, delegates to the national convention were elected as stipulated by the constitution of the party.

Chairman of the Congress delegated from the national headquarters of the party for conduct and monitoring of the exercise, Admiral Rafael Osondu, charged members of the electoral panel dispatched to various local governments to align themselves strictly to the congress guidelines without fear or favor.

Admiral Osondu while moving round some of the congress venues, praised leaders and members of Osun PDP for conducting themselves peacefully during the congress, a development he described as essential for progress and victory’ of the party in the coming Governorship and other elections in the state.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the party, Hon Sunday Bisi, enjoined leaders and members of the party to accord the congress Committee members all necessary cooperation while discharging their duties.

The Delegates Congress was peaceful in all the local governments visited by the Committee including Osogbo, Olorunda, Ede South, Ede North, Irewole, Egbedore, Ilesa East, Ilesa West and Ifelodun local governments. This is just as party members were seen conducting themselves orderly during the monitoring exercise embarked upon by Admiral Osondu and his Congress Committee members.

Other members of the National Delegates Congress Committee who were appointed by the National Working Committee of the party to oversee the exercise in Osun State include; Hon Adeyemi Sunday, Pastor Josephine Ejeh, Mr Joel Okedi and Princess Adekemi Adewumi who served as secretary of the Committee.
