Osun APC Crisis, A One Family Affair Which Will Soon Fizzle Out-Egbemode

The seeming state of frisky relationship currently rocking the state of Osun chapter of APC is not something that will last long as it is an internal affair which will soon be internally settled amicably.

Commissioner for information and Civic Orientation in the state ,Mrs Funke Egbemode disclosed this while featuring on a Unique F.M Ilesha radio station,”Lagbo Oselu.”

Mrs Egbemode dismissed the notion in certain quarters that the development might affect the fortune of the party in the 2022 governorship election in Osun .She described it as an afterthought of the highest order which will never see the light of the day.

The information Commissoner averred that in politics just like life, there are bound to be occasional conflicts and disagreements between and among people . She maintained that no matter how long or short such disagreement festers, as a matter of fact ,it must be settled one day.

This ,according to her is what the party leadership at the local and state levels are currently working on day and night .

Mrs Egbemode likened the perceived political animosity between the supporters of the incumbent Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on one hand and the immediate past governor,Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on the other hand as being over exaggerated politically beyond the limit of reasonability .

“I must tell you that It amazes me as people in and outside political circles overblow the current development in our party,the APC in Osun. It sounds ridiculously funny but frankly speaking, it is not as politically frosty and bad as being painted by people.

“Politics is a game of interest where occasionally there must be disagreements.

Of course , the ideal lifeline that we are currently exploring as a one strong political family in Osun APC is to settle the perceived differences ,if at all they even exist.

“But I must emphasise for record purposes that the situation in our party is not as politically tensed and stormy as being presently bandied about by some political and non political jobbers.

“I want to tell you that in few days time ,by the special grace of God,the disagreement will fizzle out completely as it came and the Osun APC will become stronger,virile and more cohesive than it used to be before the perceived crisis ” emphasised Funke Egbemode during the one hour long current affairs Yoruba program on Unique F.M, radio, Ilesha.

Answering a question on the July 2022 governorship election in the state of Osun as officially announced by INEC vis a vis the preparation of the Osun APC for the election just like other political parties , the former President,Nigeria Guild of Editors affirmed that with God coupled with the overwhelming support of the people of the state of Osun,who in the first instance voted Mr Adegboyega Oyetola into power, his second term ambition is a done deal, stressing that come 2022,no vacancy in Okefia Oshogbo government house.

Mrs Egbemode maintained that the opposition parties in the state should stop day dreaming by trying to capitalize on the minor disagreement in Osun APC as an opportunity to wrestle power from the incumbent administration.

“Oyetola has all it takes to coast home to victory again in the coming 2022 Osun governorship election. His sterling performances in the last three years in terms of different projects and Programmes executed in different sectors are enough to make the people of Osun entrust him with their votes again and again.” Concluded Egbemode.

On behalf of governor Adegboyega Oyetola , she promised life more abundant for the people of the state of Osun in the second coming of the administration in 2022.
