Your Allegations Over 2018 Guber Election Misleading, Oyetola’s Aide, Bello Replies Lasun Yussuf
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Social Intervention Programmes (SSA-SIP), Hon Lukman Abimbola Bello, has cautioned former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuf to stop being mischievous with his rigging allegations thrown to the person of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
This was made known on Friday by Hon Bello in his reaction to Hon Lasun’s claim that Governor Oyetola was rigged in during the 2018 governorship election.
He said the former Deputy Speaker’s claims were baseless and misleading, saying such is not expected from a person like him.
According to Hon Bello, “How would a governor who is known for peace and transparency involved in a dirty act like rigging election.
“Governor Oyetola who went through due process before, during and after the 2018 election got his mandate in a keenly contested election from the good people of Osun who wanted progressives party to continue after Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola finished his eight years.
“Lasun Yusuf should stop insulting Governor Oyetola and desist from comments that are capable of causing discord within the family of Osun APC.
He, however, urged members of the Osun APC to disregard politicians like Lasun Yusuf who are out to discredit Governor Oyetola in the faces of the electorate.
“Our goal as member of Osun APC is to ensure that governor Oyetola is re-elected come 2022” adding that “opposition must not be allowed to take this chance from us” he said.
“Governor Oyetola has done well in different sectors with leaving out good welfare for the civil servants of the state, infrastructures are going on in length and breath of the state, he added.
He also appealed to aggrieved members of the party to allow peace to reign by settling their differences and work harmoniously for APC to win come 2022.
” Governor Oyetola, went through clean and cleared primary before the real gubernatorial election then and won victoriously, so how could someone like Ilobu born politician be saying that the governor’s election was rigged then and why can’t he challenged it then? The statement concluded.
