Igboho Should Be Thankful Buhari’s Government Only Planted Guns, Not Bombs In His House—Activist, Adeyanju
Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has accused Nigerian Government of planting guns in the house of Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemi, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.
Deji disclosed this in a tweet where he condemned the killing of two people in Igboho’s residence by government’s security agents.
He also said Igboho should be thankful that government agents planted only guns and not bombs in his house.
“Igboho should be thanking God that it is only guns they planted in his house and not bombs.
“This hopeless government killed 2 people in Igboho’s house and they are acting like they didn’t committed any crime today,” he said.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has earlier confirmed that the joint security operatives killed two allies of Igboho during an invasion of his residence in Ibadan, Oyo state.
He said no one is above the law of the land, while adding that those apprehended at his residence would be charged to court.
The secret police also paraded no fewer than 12 suspects arrested during the joint operation.
Some of the items allegedly carted away from his house include passports, charms, guns and dollars.
It was earlier had reported how Ighoho’s house in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo state was attacked around 1am on Thursday.
At least 10 vehicles belonging to the self-styled activist, including his G-wagon, Prado SUVs, and valuable properties, furniture, and windows were destroyed.
Blood was splattered on the floor and the walls of the his buildings were riddled with bullet holes.
