2021, A Year Of Renewed Hope In Osun- LG Commissioner

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke has congratulated the people of Osun and Nigeria as a whole for the successive crossover into the new year 2021.

In a statement by his Media Aide, Kazeem Mohammed, Adeleke said there is cause for celebration considering the challenges that characterised the outgone year 2020.

Adeleke said, the year 2021 is a year of renewed hope, especially for the people of Osun, as Governor Gboyega Oyetola strives to make lives more comfortable for the people.

Recalling the challenges that characterised the outgone year, Adeleke noted that the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and the crisis that graced the EndSARS protest, coupled with massive looting of public and private properties by hoodlums in years 2020 could never be overemphasized.

He said, efforts to get over those challenges have been very hectic for both government and affected private individual.

According to him, despite the negative effects of those challenges on the economy and governance generally, Governor Oyetola has always been committed to put thing in proper perspectives for the benefits of the people of Osun.

Adeleke who acknowledged the support of the people in gradually tackling the challenges which are still existing, said, the support have been giving government the strength to perform better.

According to him, no one would ever thought that the government could be doing so much interms of infrastructure development, healthcare delivery, commerce and empowerment, and prompt payment of salary and allowances of workers as and when due.

He added that the commitment to better the lives of the people, support from the public and above all the love of God have been making things possible, especially in the outcome year.

The commissioner then urged the people to continue to support government in prayer and performance of their civic responsibilities in the new years to achieve the desired goals.
