Oranmiyan Urges Obedience To COVID-19 Protocols As Muslims Celebrate Eid-el-Kabir

As Muslims observe this year’s Eid-el Kabir, Hon Sadiq Olajide Moruf, Director General, Oranmiyan worldwide has congratulated Muslim Faithful in Osun State on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

Sadiq in a statement, he personally signed and made available to newmen in Osogbo, Osun State capital also urged Muslims to use the festive period to pray for an end to the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on behalf of other members of of the group across the globe, Sadiq said there is the need for Muslims to be moderate in the celebration of this year Sallah because of the Covid-19 that is ravaging the whole world.

He urged faithful to adhere strictly to the extant COVID-19 safety protocols of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to DG, there is the need for Muslim faithful to raise their voice in prayer for Allah to salvage the world from the deadly Coronavirus, saying it’s only divine intervention of God that can help the nation to scale through this trying period.

He, however, called on all the residents of the state regardless of their religious beliefs to embrace peace as being preached by prophet Muhammad during his lifetime, saying there would not be development in any society where there is no peace

“I want to on behalf of the entire members of the popular sociocultural Organisation, Oranmiyan worldwide to congratulate Muslim Faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

“Due to the deadly Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the whole world, there is need for us to be moderate in the celebration. We should try as much as possible to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures put in place by NCDC. I would like to urge our Muslim Umah to use this festive period to pray for an and to the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

“The faithfuls should bring into bear, the tolerance taught by Prophet Muhammed,(SWT), and they should extend helping hands to the less privileged who are not financially buoyant.

He, however, urged citizens irrespective of their religious beliefs to use the occasion to embrace one and other for peace and unity of the nation.
