Over one thousand Islamic clerics and other muslim faithfuls in Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan federal constituency have benefited from the support of Hon. Bola Oyebamiji to enable them have a joyful Eid-El-Kabir celebration in their homes.
Hon. Oyebamiji who is the Balogun Muslumi of the Federal constituency provided cash and food items such as rams, bags of rice, vegetable oil, Semovita and others to the clerics and other less previledged faithfuls in the area to mark this year’s celebration.
Receiving the items on behalf of other Imams and Alfas in the Federal constituency, Grand chief Imam of ikire land, Alhaji Yinusa Ajibade Raji Olorunose described the gesture of Hon. Oyebamiji as unexpected especially because the Ikire born banker is bereaved at the moment.
He said the philanthropic gesture of Hon. Oyebamiji has now restored the hope of a joyous celebration of Eid-El-Kabir in so many homes in the constituency as the economic hardship caused by the Covid-19 pandemic had made a lot of families incapacitated.
While thanking the donor for his love to others, the Grand Imam of Ikire land prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and blessings upon Hon. Oyebamiji and his entire family.
He said, “words can’t express how grateful and happy I am to receive these items on behalf of other Imams and Alfas in Irewole/Ayedaade and Isokan federal constituency. This is unbelievable because we were not expecting it at this time.
“We know that the Covid-19 pandemic has crippled the economy and coupled with the fact that Hon. Oyebamiji has just lost his beloved sister. For someone who is bereaved at the moment to do this is unbelievable.
“We can only pray that almighty Allah grant the departed Aljana Fridaus and grant the entire Oyebamiji family the fortitude to bear the loss, and may Allah continue to bless and enrich him. On behalf of other Imams and Alfas in this federal constituency, I say thank you.
Speaking on the reason for the donation, the Balogun Muslumi of Irewole/Ayedaade and Isokan federal constituency, Hon. Bola Oyebamiji said he is simply following the commandments of almighty Allah which preaches love and selflessness.
“In times like this, we are supposed to extend a hand of love to our fellow humans. It is clear that the Coronavirus pandemic has crippled the economy, a lot of families will not be able to afford materials to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, so it is important to help someone if you have the means.
“Providing assistance to a fellow human being is one of the most important teachings of Islam, there is no better time to render such assistance than now that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected a lot of people economically”. He stated.
