Birthday: Oyetola’s Supporter, Sowade Distributes Food Items To Widows, Aged In Modakeke

The people of Modakeke town were full of gratitude and prayers to the governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola as he turned sixty six years yesterday.

The celebration which was financed by an ardent supporter and staunch loyalist of the celebrant, Mr. Kayode Sowade, an indigene of Modakeke used the occasion of Oyetola’s 66th birthday to identify with the aged and widows in the ancient town.

Sixty six (66) senior citizens were selected in all the ten political wards, making up six hundred and sixty (660) beneficiaries, Sowade donated foodstuff as part of his philanthropic gesture to identify with the Governor on his monumental achievements, especially the total reconstruction of Famia road and revitalization of PHCs within the town.

Sowade who had earlier in the wake of the COVID-19 in July 2020 reached out to people with palliatives as a means of cushioning the economic hardship, he also donated laptops as gifts for the Osun Independence day essay competition organized for tertiary students.

Sowade who was represented at the event by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation, Science and Technology, Ismael Raheem Akande, another distinguished son of Modakeke prayed for both the Governor and Mr. Sowade. He called for peaceful coexistence among his people irrespective of political or religious affiliation.

The Senior Special Assistant , Special Duties, Hon. Samson Owoyokun who stood in for the Governor recounted all the achievements of the present administration in all sectors, and solicited for more cooperation and support for the Oyetola led administration
