Lockdown: Osun First Lady Distributes Food Items To Vulnerable
Wife of the Governor of Osun and President Ilerioluwa Development initiative, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has restated that her NGO will not relent in supporting the needy in the society.
Mrs Oyetola stated while fielding questions from Journalists during a house to house food items distribution and cash gift to the less priviledged in Egbeda , Eko -Ajala, Eko-Ende, Oba -ile and Oba -Oke all in Osun Central Senatorial district including Imesi- Ile community in Osun East Senatorial District of the State.
Wife of the Governor who was accompanied during the distribution by the wife of State Deputy Governor and other wives of top political office holders in the state said the gesture was geared towards complementing government’s efforts at mitigating the impact of the lockdown order occasioned by novel Coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria.
The President Ilerioluwa Development Initiative further that the effort put in place was her own NGO’s little way of supporting the government’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19, that has continued to ravage the world.
Mrs Oyetola advised citizens of the state to adhere to the social distancing, washing of hands regularly, and non touching of face rules, and the uses of face marks always for protection against the dreaded disease.
Speaking during the house to house food items distribution ,the Owa Ooye of Imesi-Ile Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi who appreciated the dogged efforts of the wife of the Governor’s NGO, charged all citizens of Osun to obey all precautions put in place by the government to end the pandemic globally.
