Ecomium As Engr Olusegun Daboh Retires After 35 Years Of Meritorious Service

The atmosphere at the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Osogbo Field Office was filled with happiness, Joy and celebration on Thursday, September 24, 2020, when Engr. Olusegun Daboh, the Operations Controllers, retired after 35 years of active service in the department.

Daboh, who was filled with joy and happiness for being alive to witness his retirement arrived at the well decorated DPR Conference hall for retirement party organised by members of staff of the agency by 12pm.

Staff of the agency at its headquarters and Zonal Office in Lagos also hooked to the party via the internet.

The atmosphere of the hall was filled with smell of well prepared delicious food, for those who can perceive such, while a gigantic cake was placed at the front of the celebrator with a lovely retirement card.

Those who were at the party could testify to the fact DPR staff ‘ no dey carry last’ when it comes to organising a befitting party.

Both permanent, casual and IT students were at the party to honour Engr. Daboh in his last day in the office.

When it was time for staff to say one or two things about the celebrator, if not for limited time, the whole day wouldn’t have been enough to hear the kind of person Engineer Daboh is.

Engr. Ayo Cardoso, DPR Zonal Operations Controller, who spoke via the internet wished Daboh good health in his retirement.

Cardoso described Daboh as intelligent and humble man, who had contributed positively to the development of the agency.

Also speaking, Dr Ademola Makinde, who was the former Operations Controller of DPR, Osogbo, also spoke via internet , describing Daboh as a man with a golden heart

Makinde said Daboh would be missed greatly in DPR.

All other staff, who spoke through the internet showered encomium on Daboh, describing him as a man with a golden heart.

Members of staff of DPR in Osogbo in their various remarks said Engr. Daboh would be greatly missed.

Mr Kunle Adeyemo, the Head of Services, described Engr. Daboh as a very humble and generous man.

Adeyemo prayed fervently for him to continue to live in good health.

Other staff of the agency, Mr Femi Ogunmuyiwa, Obiora Emenike, Yekini Salami, Sawyerr Benjamin, Yahaya Abubakar, also showered ecomium on him and pray for him to live long to enjoy the fruit of his labour.

In his remarks, Engr. Daboh thanked God for sparing his life to served for 35 years.

He said he would continue to get to DPR staff and thank them for the befitting party.

Thereafter, the cake was cut, the food and wine was shared and everyone ate to their satisfaction.

A beautiful gift was also presented to the celebrator for a life well spent.

Thinking that was all, another party was also held the same day at Adolak bar, where IPMAN members ,gas dealers, friends and well-wishers came around to celebrate with him.

A JuJu musician from Ibadan was also around to play and everyone at the party danced , ate and caught fun…

May the good God continue to bless the man… Engr. Daboh who has touched lives positively….We wish you happy retirement.
