Again, SARS Attacks Another Footballer In Ondo
The Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad have reportedly attacked yet another footballer after similar case in Ogun State where a promising footballer, Kazeem Tiamiyu was killed.
A lady named Omobolanle Billionaire who took to her twitter page to narrate her ordeal with the SARS revealed how SARS officers attacked another footballer in Ore, Ondo state.
She said:
“My sister’s fiance was arrested by SARS yesterday afternoon at Ore not far from Akure on his way to get something to eat after training. When they discovered he is an international football player, they said he must pay to get himself bailed. He tried to explain to them that he had issues with his coach that’s why he came back to Nigeria but all fell on deaf ears of the SARS officials saying he must pay before he can be released”, Omobolanle says.
She added that the footballer has since been detained by the SARS officers saying:
“He has been locked up since yesterday afternoon not even up to an hour he was lamenting to my mum over the phone about been broke, added Omobolanle”.
She continued – ‘The woman in charge of the restaurant he normally take his lunch after training was the one that quickly ran to his quarters to inform his room mate about the incidence and gave his phone to him which she said he was charging it before the arrest.
His friend then called my sister in Cyprus to inform her of the incidence. My sister then called my parents in Nigeria to inform them. The room mate tried all he could to beg them not to hurt him and to release him but all what they want is just money before he can be released.
After much pleading they told his room mate to go and bring 20,000 naira that they can’t go lesser than that amount for an international footballer
My mum is about sending the money to his friend so he can be released, but I want to inform the public of what has happened again with our Nigerian SARS’,
