Adekanmi Adewale Is New Ogboru Of Akiriboto Community
The ancient town of Akiriboto in Ayedaade local government area of Osun State went agog yesterday when Prince Adekanmi Adewale was installed and crowned as the new Ogboru of Akiriboto community.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 who is also the permanent Chairman of Osun State Council Of Obas & Chiefs who performed the installation of the new monarch at Oduduwa house in Ile-Ife in support with all his kingmakers and chiefs, described Akiriboto community as a very important part of Yorubaland with Ile-Ife as its source.
Expressing his confidence in the newly crowned traditional ruler of Akiriboto town, the Ooni of Ife noted that the town will experience tremendous development during the time of Oba Adewale.
Oba Ogunwusi, who called for complete support and corporation to Oba Adewale however charged the new king to always place the interest of the residents of his community as priority of his reign.
While presenting his acceptance speech before the Ooni and the mammoth crowd, the new Ogboru of Akiriboto, Oba Adekanmi Adewale promised not to let the Ooni and the residents down in his efforts to transform the ancient Akiriboto community.
Oba Adewale who was highly elated enjoined the entire residents of Akiriboto to demonstrate their love and support to him saying he cannot pilot the affairs of the town alone without them and almighty “Olodumare”, while assured of using his connection and wealth of experience to turn around the fortunes of the entire community.
The new Ogboru of Akiriboto town used the medium to appreciate the state governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and all his kingmakers, the Chairman, Ayedaade local government, and all prominent people of his domain among others for their prayers and supports to him towards the actualization of his formal installation.
Some of the residents of the community who cannot hide their joy and feelings at the colourful ceremony, the leader of Akiriboto, Chief Adebayo Oyewo, the regent of the town before the emergence of Oba Adewale, Princess Omolara Oyinade Oyewo and Prince Popoola Fatunde A, among others said the new dawn as finally come to the ancient Akiriboto community with the emergence of the new Ogboru saying all the residents of the town, male and female, old and young as well as non indigene would totally demonstrate their unflinching supports to him for the community to be transformed above others.
People from all walks of life who attended the ceremony both at Ile-Ife and Akiriboto includes the Ooni of Ife, all his kingmakers, the Baale of Mokuro, Chairman, Ayedaade local government, the Obalokun of Osun State, Chief Teslim Raji a.k.a. Akerele and his wife some business moguls, political office holders, and prominent traditionalists among others.
