Nigerian Baptist Convention Men’s Leader, Deacon Michael Oyegbile is Dead

The National President of the Men’s Missionary Union, MMU, of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, Deacon Michael K. Oyegbile is dead.
Deacon Odeyale died today, Friday April 24, 2020.
In a terse statement signed by the body’s National Secretary, Deacon Philip Slaboh, the body commiserated with his wife and entire family, Baptist men and Boys, and the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. S. O. Ayokunle and the entire Baptist family in Nigeria praying that God would comfort all.
The statement read:
“It is with heavy hearts but a deep sense of duty that we bring to the notice of NEC the sad news of the surden demise of our dear leader, Dn. Micheal K. Oyegbile, President, MMU of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, which occurred today, Friday April 24, 2020.
“We convey our heartfelt condolences to his wife and entire family, Baptist men and Boys, and the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. S. O. Ayokunle and the entire Baptist family in Nigeria and pray that the God of all comfort will grant us the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We request all NEC members to be in prayers as we seek the Lord’s guidance to get through this trying moment in our ministry.
The immediate cause of the death was not made public as at the time of filing this report.
Deacon Oyegbile assumed the leadership of MMU barely a year ago.
