Lions Clubs International Honours NACETEM DG/CEO, Prof Okechukwu Ukwuoma

The National Association of Lions Clubs District 404B2 Nigeria honours the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Professor Okechukwu Ukwuoma with ‘Innovative Advancement’ Award.

The DG who was a guest speaker at the event was given the award for his deployment of science, technology and innovation as a veritable tool to mitigate enormous societal challenges.

The District Governor, Dr Ademola Adesoye extolled Professor Okechukwu Ukwuoma for how he has been at the forefront of lifting mankind with positive use of science, technology and innovation.

“Professor Ukwuoma, through the Agency (NACETEM) he leads, has been able to positively affect humanity with a lot of innovative research projects the Agency has conducted. This shows a leader with the interest of mankind in mind”.

In his acceptance speech, Ukwuoma reiterated what he said while giving a talk on how to combat COVID-19 earlier that “we need to think of one another as one big human family”.

He submitted that this is what drives both his professional and personal dispositions.

He thanked the association for the recognition and pledged not to rest on his oars until the world becomes a better place to live in.
