Breaking: Plateau Records First Positive COVID-19 Case
Plateau State has recorded its first positive case of COVID-19.
The official report from the testing centre at the National Veterinary Research Institute, NVRI, Vom, Plateau state sighted by CityMirrorNews indicated that the index case is a woman, 20 years old.
She came into the state from Kano during the lockdown and was arrested by COVID-19 taskforce in Plateau state.
Her test result came out positive on Thursday shortly after the State Governor, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong addressed the State, announcing a relaxation of the lockdown from tomorrow, Friday to Sunday. The total lockdown resumes next Monday.
Meanwhile, the case has not been reported by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
