Eunice Maina Community Outreach Visits Orphanage Home

A non-governmental Organisation,Eunice Maina Community Outreach on Democracy Day, June 12, visited Jesus Only Friends International Orphanage (JOFIN) located at Kabong behind Satellite Market, Jos, Plateau State to commemorate the birthday of its founder, Miss Eunice Maina.

The celebrant, Eunice in company of friends and families celebrated the day with the orphans and their guardians at the orphanage home dancing to the goodness of the Lord in her life.

In her remark, the celebrant appreciated God for the gift of life and for giving her the great opportunity to celebrate her big day with the children, who are the future of tomorrow.

She prayed that God will continue to bless and grant her the grace to support the orphanage.

In her response, the Coordinator of Jesus Only Friends International Orphanage Home, Mrs Onyeukwu Chidiebere expressed her profound gratitude to the organisation and the celebrant. She prayed that God will continue to bless and keep the celebrant.

Onyeukwu said, “I appreciate your Love to the home. You left behind other places of honour but you come to the orphanage, heaven will honour you and your family. My dear, we love you and thank you for your supportive measures.”

While speaking with CityMirrorNews correspondent, Onyeukwu disclosed that JOFIN Home was established and born in 2012 with the total number of 68 children, out of the dire need to give succor and shelter to the homeless in areas where crisis have rendered lots of children orphans in Nigeria.

“Feeding them, giving them shelter, educating them and nuturing them in the fear of God and achieve their God given purpose in life was the goal of the Home.” She added.

She explained that the Orphanage was faced with enormous challenges of food, building completion, and basic essential needs since its inauguration on 26th May, 2012. She noted that the Orphanage was registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission in the year 2014.

She called on the members of the public and spirited individuals to assist the Orphanage for a better and brighter future of the young ones.

Highlight of the event was a motivational talk by the Director of Christian Foundation for Social Justice and Equity (CFSJE), Comrade Jide Afolabi who charged the children to be responsible saying that tomorrow belongs to them.

He said, “The circumstances surrounding your being here does not matter. Although, it’s unfortunate that you are not with your parents however, continue to look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

“If you listen to your caregivers and instructors, I can assure you, you can become whatever you desire in life. Among you, we shall see great leaders that would change the story of the entire world for the better.”

He encouraged them never to give in to temptation of engaging in bad behaviour saying that bad behaviour can only lead one to failure in the future. He prayed that God Almighty would uphold them and that they would fulfill God’s divine purpose for their lives.

Among other activities at the occasion included dancing, prayer, and varieties.

The event climaxed by donation of various items to the Orphanage Home by the celebrant, Miss Eunice Maina.

In her interview with CityMirrorNews, the celebrant, Maina, commended the effort of the founder and staff of Jesus Only Friends International Orphanage (JOFIN) Home for their efforts on the children praying that the good Lord would bless their lives and homes.

She, however, called on the spirited members of the public, influential persons and the government to support Orphanage Homes across the nation noting that they were there because of the fact that the society failed them.
