COVID-19: HuCaPAN Postpones AGM, CoCE Forum

The Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN) has postponed its 9th Annual General Meeting and the Committee of Chief Executive (CoCE) Forum due to the deadly Corona virus outbreaks.

In a statement issued and signed by the Association’s Executive Secretary, Olajide Afolabi on Friday, he said that the ban on gathering of more than 50 persons together in the same place by the government affected the already scheduled programme saying that it was an event that usually brings its member companies which is over 200 together to discuss issues affecting the Association and outsourcing industry around the globe especially, Nigeria.

He further stated that aside complying with the directives of the government, “HuCaPAN is an Association that put the welfare and health of its members first and would not engage in anything that would endanger the lives of its members”.

The statement reads:

“In view of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) outbreak around the globe including Nigeria, and subsequent ban on gatherings that brings fifty (50) persons or more together in the same place by the Government, the Executive Committee has unanimously decided to postpone the 9th Annual General Meeting of the Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN) and the Committee of Chief Executives Forum earlier scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 by 12:30 p.m. at Sheraton Hotel, 30, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Lagos, Nigeria.

“As we continue to monitor the developments, a new date shall be announced with statutory notice.

“We regret any inconveniences this postponement might have caused any of our distinguished members.

Afolabi urged members to adhere to government directives on prevention of the deadly disease and imbibe culture of healthy lifestyle.

“As a responsible Association, we encourage all members to take to all preventive measures being announced regularly by the government and most importantly, keep hygienic lifestyle.”

The Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN) is the umbrella body of licensed Private Employment Agencies (PEAs) in Nigeria.
