Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre Upgrades Facilities

The citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, Mountain School Shere Hills Jos has recently witnessed a change in its infrastructural facitilities courtesy of the Director General of the Center, Dr Jonah Bawa.
Leadership and Training Center Shere Hills Jos is one of the ten centers across the country established in 1951 in Southern Cameroon and later moved to Kurra falls in 1961 before it finally relocated to its present location at Shere Hills, Gwafan in Jos North Local government area of Plateau state.
Recently, the center commissioned projects that were executed ranging from 50 KVA Mikano Generator, construction of drainage, Fence,Renovated male Hostel and Executive hotel.
In his address, the Unit coordinator, Abdulmumuni Adamu Maimako, appreciated and commended the Director General of the Center whom he described as a visionary and God fearing leader.
He noted that his passion,dedication and commitment is helping in lifting the center to lime light across the country. The Unit Coordinator equally thanked His Royal Highness, Adagwom Jos Izere Chiefdom, Ada Emmanuel Ajik,for coming to commission the Hostel. The project lasted for only seven weeks. The consultant that monitored the job also commended the contractor for not only finishing the job in good time but executed a quality job. He noted that the contractor deserved a commendation letter for the good job.
In his address,the consultant thanked the community for the peace and cooperation that created enabling environment and made the project a reality. He further admonished them to properly manage the structures so that it can last longer.
There were good will messages from the Correctional Center, Lamingo,Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), and the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) among others.
In his royal message and commissioning project, Adagwom Jos Izere, His Royal Highness, Ada Emmanuel Ajik acknowledged the effort of the center in peace building not only on the Plateau but the country at large as the center is also refers to mother unit. He said it was indeed very unique looking at the quality training and programs it renders to the society. He appealed to the Center to use the remaining of fallowed land to establish more skills acquisition centers that will further boost her effort in training youths and curb the rate of social vices bedevilling the society
