The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (APC) has warned the state government not to distribute palliatives meant for all residents of the state to the members of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) alone.

CityMirrorNews reports that the state government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola had last week commenced distribution of Palliatives as part of the measures put in place to cushion the effect of sit-at-home order to contain the spread of dreaded Coronavirus.

PDP in a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon Olasoji Adagunodo, and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo on Friday, warned that palliative should not only be distributed to members of the ruling All Progressives Congress

The PDP asked the state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola to have a second check at the contents of his oath of office so as to be reminded of his responsibilities as the Governor of all the citizens of Osun state.

Adagunodo urged Oyetola not to forget a crucial portion of his oath of office and oath of allegiance which mandates him to be fair to all manners of men.

He warned that ignoring certain sections of the society because of their political beliefs or affiliation, would spell danger for the state.

Adagunodo also called on all critical stakeholders and all well meaning Osun leaders who are members of the Palliative Committee to make known their positions by protecting their names, ensuring that they justly supervise and see to the equitable distribution of all palliatives accruing to the state.
