Oyo/Osun NCS Has No Hand In Shooting-Zonal Controller

As conflict between business men and officers of Nigeria Customs Service in Oyo /Osun Command is being peacefully resolved,the officers and men of NCS has denied involvement in the shooting of a member of National Union of Road Transport Workers.
It was reported that an officer of NCS recently shot a member of NURTW on allegation of carrying contrabands in his vehicle.
However after shooting the executive of the NURTW,Lateef Aboki at Iseyin Moniya park, Iseyin,no smuggled items was detected.
The Image maker of custom in the Zone,Mr.Lagos ABDULAHI (Assistant Superintendent) described the incident as unfortunate adding that it was being investigated.
He said “immediately the incident reached us,the Comptroller of the Command, Mrs Uche Ngozi directed the residential officers at Iseyin to quickly intervene in order to restore normalcy to the area.
” We want to state categorically that the officers involved are not from our command. They are officers from Federal Operations Unit,ZoneA..
Investigation revealed that traditional leaders in the community’ and the top officers of NCS from the zone A Federal Unit including other security arms have doused tension on the matter
Meanwhile, the Igbo Community in Saki have protested against an allegation that three Yoruba children reportedly kidnapped were traced into some Igbo men.
Over 300 Igbo indigene went on peaceful protest to major areas and ended in the palace of Okere of Saki Oba Khalid Olabisi who was told by Chief Daniel Nwabueze that the kidnapped children were found in the custody of Yoruba men.
The matter is being investigated by the police it was confirmed during the week end.
