Osun Lawmaker, Atidade Empowers Youths, Traders, Less-privileged

A member of the Osun Osun State House of Assembly, representing Ede South Constituency, Honourable Stephen Olaniran Akanfe-Atidade, has put smile on the faces of the people of his Constituency through the empowerment of youths , women and the Less-privileged.
CityMirrorNews reports that the empowerment programme coincident with the 40th years birth anniversary of the the Lawmaker.
The beneficiaries of Honourable Atidade empowerment programme among whom are youths , artisans , women and Less-privileged were selected across the wards within the Ede South State Constituency.
Some of the materials distributed according to CityMirrorNews Correspondent who covered the event which took place at the country home of the late first Civilian Governror of the state, Senator Isiaka Adeleke are; Sewing Machines, Generators couple with clippers, Dryers, Grinding Machines, Gas cylinders and Farming Spraying machines among others.
Speaking at the event tagged: “KKK Empowerment Programme: Hon. Olaniran Akanfe Atidade Foundation, Second Phase”, Atidade noted that he felt fulfilled with the empowerments programme.
Atidade hinted that he was curious to accomplish all the promises made during the election campaign described
the gesture as part of his pro-masses programmes designed to kick poverty out of his constituency.
The Lawmaker however promised that he will not relent in his efforts to ensure that Ede South Constituency witness unmeasurable development within the short period of time.
He stressed further that the welfare of his people was a priority and not an option, adding that he has a great passion in the growth and development of youths in his constituency, saying youths and women must be supported by any serious government and wealthy individuals.
Atidade also declared his commitment to even and equitable distribution of resources, saying no effort would be spared to ensure a better life for all in the constituency at large.
He said: “They sent me and I must give feedback because the present economy of the state is at stake and is not that good but at least from what am getting, I have to give back to my people.
“I believe to whom much is given much is expected and for these reasons, I have empowered my people so as to wage war against poverty and hunger.
In his Goodwill massage, Honourable representing Obokun State Constituency, Hon Adeyemi Adewumi popularly called Irekandu, commended Hon. Atidade for the puting the interest of his people in mind, saying the Lawmaker has done tremendously well .
Adewumi explained that it was no longer a news that the spate of poverty in the country is becoming alarming saying for Atidade to have done such a gigantic empowerments for his constituents worth to be commended
Commending the Lawmaker for the good gesture, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Publicity Secretary in the State, Hon.Sunday Bisi, described the gusture as a laudable means to kick the poverty out of the Constituency.
He enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of equipments given to them to generate wealth for standard of leaving.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Soliu Silifat, who described Atidade as a humble politician, said they couldn’t expect such a big empowerments at this trying time occasioned by the deadly Coronavirus.
Another beneficiary, Adeyemi Opeyemi Nafiu ( Alajue ward1 ) appreciated the Lawmaker for counting him worthy among the glorious citizens of the constituency.
The dignitaries at the two in one Programme are ; the Timi of Ede land, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, represented by chief Agbaakin of Ede, Olu of Owode Ede, Osun State PDP Acting Chairman, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, Minority Leader in Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Bamidele Salam, Member of House of Representative Abuja and others.
