Ogundokun congratulates Prof Gambari On His Appointment As CoS To PMB

An elder statesman, High Chief Abiola Ogundokun has congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari.

In a statement personally signed by him and made available to CityMirrorNews in Abuja on Sunday, Chief Ogundokun described the appointment as “meritorious and well deserved”.

According to him, “Prof. Gambari unknown to many has saved Nigeria from imperialists inspired sanctions which would have inflicted untold pains and hardships on the toiling Nigerian masses during Abacha regime. Many would have died of hunger and starvation as a result of power game within the few elites. He vigorously campaigned to save millions of lives from possible program.”

The elder statesman also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for making the right choice at this period of our democratic experience, saying, Mr. President should ignore those opposed to his appointment as a “they are enemies of Nigeria’s growth to nationhood.”

Extoiling the virtues of the new Chief of Staff, Ogundokun said, “Gambari is an accomplished and astute diplomat that is humane and compassionate about the downtrodden masses. ” His wealth of experience, dedication to the course of Nigeria as a nation, Africa as well as the international concerns and humanity earned him the appointment which no doubt would attract envy from some quarters.

“I observed his dedication and loyalty to nation building closely during the 1995 Confab, I can testify that I saw the humane, humble, dispassionate, hardworking, workaholic and affectionate diplomat in him.

“Once again, I heartily rejoice and congratulate Prof. Gambari and his numerous admirers on the well deserved appointment. I pray that the Almighty Allah that has always seen him excel in his academic and career progression would further distinguished him as a patriot with the new appointment.
